Huhu,
ich hab mal alles zum Civil War (Ursachen, Folgen) und knapp alles zum Civil Rights Movement zusammengeschrieben.
Hoffe, das hilft irgendwie
Civil War (1861-1865)
Ursachen:
politische Differenzen zwischen Nord und Süd -> South separated from North
Industrialisierung im Norden -> weniger Sklaven
im Süden weniger Maschinen -> mehr Sklaven
North created war-mashine -> won the war
After War:
amendments: slavery was forbidden, citizenship/voting right for every person born in USA
women and native Americans were not mentioned in the amendments
still prejudice, still couldn't live a "normal" life
Seperate-But-Equal Doctrine in 1896
Situation of the blacks in North:
lived in ghettos and slums
segregation
injustice
prejudice
no voting right
discrimination
Situation of the blacks in South:
lived in slaveshacks
surviving by raising vegetables
life without telephone, electricity, hot water or any comfort
scared to protest -> they could have been killed
didn't identify with M.L. King, he was so far away
Ku-Klux-Clan
Harlem Renaissance (1920-1930):
African-American Philip Payton got many parts of the Harlem property market
blacks came to Harlem
spread out their culture (lyric, music,...)
example: Zora Neale Hurston
Civil Rights Movement:
1948 ending segregation in armed forces
1955 Supreme Court: no segregation in education
1955/1956 Montgomery Bus Boycott:
Who? 42000 blacks with M.L. King
Where? Montgomery , Alabama
Why? Rosa Parks
after that: no segregation in transportation (supreme court)
August 1963 March on Washington (M.L. King: I have a dream)
1964 Civil Rights Act
Kennedy killed -> Lyndon B Johnson became new president
- ending segregation
- ending segregation in employment
1965 Voting Right Act: federal right to vote

Ist jetzt zwar schon länger her und ich weiß nicht ob du's noch brauchst, aber ich habe mal geguckt und bei Wikipedia steht folgendes:
"This is a list of examples of Jim Crow laws, which were state and local laws in the United States enacted between 1876 and 1965. Jim Crow laws existed mainly in the South and originated from the Black Codes that were enforced from 1865 to 1866 and from prewar segregation on railroad cars in northern cities."
