Haben heute Metaphern und Vergleiche zur Beschreibung von "the veldt" rausgesucht...
Metaphors:
- baked / bake oven (l. 167f.) -> shows the very big heat inside the nursery
- rusty smell of the lions (l. 39) -> shows that the nursery has also a negativ side
- dusty upholstery smell of their heated pelts (l. 67f.) -> make it realistic
- sound of the matted lion lungs (l. 71) -> shows the danger of the situation
Similies:
- eyes like the yellow of an exqusite French tapestry (l. 69) -> make it realistic, you think you can touch it
- dust like a red paprika in the hot air (l. 39) -> dangerous and hot
--> Most of the language shows the realism of the situation in the nursery (danger, heat,...)
So, ich hoffe, das hilft ein bisschen. Nächste Woche kommt bestimmt noch mehr.

Ich hätte da auch mal ein paar Fragen zu der Geschichte "the murderer"!
Ich muss das in einer Woche abgeben.. und das ist ausschlaggebend für meine Note deswegen muss ich das echt auffe Reihe kriegen!
Ich muss die folgenden Fragen beantworten:
1. Outline the various stages of Mr. Brock's case history.
2. Imagine you are a lawyer and you have to defend Mr. Brock in court. Find arguments why Mr. Brock should plead "not guilty". Confer the series "Boston Legal" on youtube for expressions.
3. Conduct research on the music titles mentioned in "the murderer". In what way does the selection of music fit to the plot?
4. Find an additional song ( of your choice) on the topic "destruction of technology". Comment on the lyrics and the style of music of your song.
Es wäre echt nett, wenn ihr mir dabei helfen könntet!
