Globalization means a process in which different cultures and economic sytems all over the world are becoming connected, getting open borders and becoming similar to each other because of the influence of multinational companies, media and improved communication.
On the one hand globalization is profitable for the human quality of life, because it is possible to buy goods or rare goods, which don’t exist in the own country like oil, tropical fruits or vegetables,cheaper from other countries.
Another advantage is that globalization creates new jobs and gives the possibility to work in foreign countries.
In case to this people could learn different aspects about the cultures of others, therefore the rate of discrimination falls. Moreover companies in different countries can specialize themselves on one product and on one part of the production. This requires a higher qualitiy of the final product.
On the other hand, the globalization is damaging to people in richer countries. Companies with good working conditions transfer their production and the factory to poorer countries, because the production costs are cheaper, including the workers, who are working for a smaller salary.
With respect to this, workers in industrial and rich countries lose their jobs, because the leader of the company orders cheaper workers. Another disadvantage is that third international countries don't have a high environmental protection against the pollution of the water, air and soil.
Moreover there is a high pressure for individuals to find the own status in the society, because of brand clothing or other aspects like the pressure of formation.
All in all it is to say that globalization is an advantage for the majority, because everyone could profits from this process and fullfill their own dreams e.g professional succes. Only in the third world, in developing countries, it isn’t favorable, because they don’t have the possibilities to use the advantages without money. People who are living in high standard societies could have problems to find a place in these recording to educational expansion and the resulting pressure.
