Traditional Irish Values

1. Our prospects

Before we begun to deal with the topic “Ireland” we knew nearly nothing about Ireland. On the one hand we associated Ireland with poverty and a modicum of industrialization. On the other hand we thought about people with charity, culture and religion.
Moreover we abided by the imaginations, that the Irish people drink Guiness everyday in the pubs with traditional Irish music and smiling faces. You express solidarity families and men with big, working hands. People full of love and a patriotic attitude.
This isn’t real. These points were only cut and dried opinions. Probably watched too much tv or something else what we ever heard about Ireland and that they changed their lifestyle and because of that their traditional values, too.
So we dealt with Ireland and we learned about the Celtic Tiger. In the point of view of the whole world it was the firs succeed and advance of Ireland, but this outcome collapsed.
Although we expected business- people, which lost their charity and open-hearted characters.

2. General things

Irish people are called by open-hearted humans with charity. People with wounded souls and music which express their emotions.
They have a cruel past, dependent from England and with poor circumstances.
But since they are independent they have more and more better conditions. There are some people, who think that the irishs are poor and simple strict people.
Live loving, hard working and hard drinking people. Helpfully people. People, which accustomed to work much.
Moreover a folk with the calmness like social relations as right fortunes. Women and men who ever be upfront with foreigner.
Without bustle and hustle, they prefer to meet friends in nice society and a guiness and not caring for a snip by e-bay.
So it changed….
Ireland and the Celtic Tiger ….
The people got their first succeed in the international business.Because of their past it was a real good thing for them what happen..
But did they have to pay with their human values? The money came to the fore and the traditional values came into the background.

3. Our first impressions

We got our first impressions as we drove with the bus. We only saw overdressed people with a beaker coffee, going fast and straight ahead. So we related that to the economic boom.
But as we arrived our hostel we got to know an Irish man, everyday drunken. A man without clear outlooks and halt. Moreover people hanging out by the streets of Dublin and trying to get money. We made up our minds that the people are fragmented in rich and poor. A folk which got a new value, controlling themselves, because you saw nearly by all buildings and houses cameras.

He comes from brasil and told us about his impressions about the Irish, because he came to Dublin for one year and sees the Irish in his pub everyday. Result: The Irish live mainly for the tourists to the preservation of their economic conditions and they hope for better conditions. “Jesus and Pub” describe their main traditions. Althoug they have so much problems they didn’t forget to smile and have fun. We administrated the Irish like really open- hearted persons.
